 Kat Whalen studied Multimedia and Film at Selkirk College from 2004-2007 and has been an independent film maker, photographer/videographer, and graphic artist for the past 3 years. Her passion for the arts have kept her actively involved in many different creative projects throughout her life. Music, film, poetry, illustration, dance, and theatre have been some of the driving forces behind her creative energy that have led her to focus her interests on visual graphics for live performances, music videos, Documentary film, and shorts told as a metaphoric dream scape which awakens into the khronikarts reality. Some of kats accomplishments include visual arts, camera and editing for The SPIRITBAR, ztrip, Q-Bert, Luscious Beats, Wassabi Collective, Shambhala Music Festival, Star Belly Music Festival, Music Feeds with Selkirk College, and the BC Winter Games. Now she is looking forward to showcasing the talent in her community as co-creator of the Independent Internet broadcast IMTV, broadcasting LIVE on unitynetwork.ca |
